5As easy to install as I had hoped
By Mat
I was worried about installing this, but it was very easy, just four screws and you are done. Only three things I want to note:
1. The instructions indicate that the tabs of the guard are to go "under" the weatherstriping (which is impossible) so dont spend any time worrying about that one. 2. They instruct you to stick the "bump-ons" on the hood of your car....but you really just need to stick them on the back of the bug guard. They still protect your paint, without sticking anything on your paint job. 3. There is plenty of room to wash under it, so dont worry about that....as previously mentioned by another customer, the edges do stick out some...but not bad enough to be unhappy with it. I would buy it again tomorrow if I needed another one.

5No installation problems at all
By Dragonfly
Don't know if they've changed the design, but, unlike the previous reviewer, I didn't have to remove the hood seal to install this. You just bend the rubber seal back to install the clips and screws into existing holes under the hood edge. Would have taken five minutes to install if I hadn't dropped a screw down beside the radiator. Luckily I had a telescoping magnet. Ditto on not needing the bumpers. The shield is not gonna touch the hood.

I had a WeatherTech shield on my previous 2006 CR-V and would have gotten another, but they never made one for the 2010/11s. This shield is smaller than the WeatherTech and may not do as good a job in bug deflection, but I got it primarily to protect the leading edge of the hood from stone chips and it looks like it will do this job just fine.

Two day drop ship from Lund's warehouse in Buford GA.

5good looking hood deflector for the '10 cr-v (and '11)
By Dennis G. Yanos
first of all...the description is *incorrect* in it saying it's held on by adhesive tape...no such thing...it's held on by the attached (4) metal screws, and (4) plastic inserts and the (4)washers...and it was E-A-S-Y to install.

What *WAS* hard was removing the present hoodliner's rubber gasket seal off the present plastic fastener...you'll have to take the middle 4 of them since you will need to insert the attached hardware between the hood and the gasket seal.

I didn't have patience enough, and didn't know how to remove it off the fastener's head (on the first fastener), and so I just cut it off completely...bad move...be patient, and take your time...You will need a flat blade screwdriver or needle nose plier as you pull/tug on the present gasket seal to re-install the gasket up and over the 'head' part of the fastener.

it looks great...does NOT interfere in line of sight at all...and there is about 1 to a 1 1/4" gap between the hood deflector and the hood itself.

Don't know why you would need to insert any of the 4 included clear bump stops...it won't come close at all to making contact with the hood, there is some flex at the outer edges, which will make contact with the headlight only!

A very good alternative to the oem option from Honda.
